But it does not rain all day, and the fact is, it rains heavily like torrents as in early evening rain shower, but it stops raining in a short period of time. When you have come across heavy rain, let’s wait for it to stop over a cup of tea or something. The rainy season is the one when kinds of fruits increase and taste better. Durian, the king of fruits, is less expensive and more delicious pieces come on the market. This is the best season to enjoy rich southern-country fruits.

In the dry season, the weather is pretty stable without rain and the temperature does not get higher, the weather people can spend days comfortably continues. In the clear day, the bright light is reflected on the sea and it is recommended that people enjoy the marine sports in this clear beautiful sea.

In Lombok, during the night, it becomes chilly so it is better to bring thin long sleeved shirts. The basic attire is to wear a half sleeved summer clothes but in a higher altitude place, there is a big temperature difference so it is better to bring long sleeved top shirts. Next, be careful of wearing clothes that match TPP. When visiting temples, exposing clothes such as short pants or tank tops are inappropriate to wear.

As you may already know, the Minister in charge of Indonesia announced the principle of making the Visa on Arrival issuing fee free of charge, targeting January 2015.

At present, when Japanese tourists enter Indonesia, they must obtain VOA (Visa on Arrive) at the airport or the port where they arrive. When obtaining such visa, $35 has been required so far. However, this announcement states that they will make it free of charge, covering 5 countries of Japan, China, South Korea, Australia and Russia.

This announcement by the minister in charge means that “they are considering making the Visa on Arrive issuing fee free of charge, targeting January 2015”, which does not mean that “they decided to do so from January 2015 onward”.
That is still under review, not a final decision.

Furthermore, it should be noted that it may be suddenly enforced without advance notice. Collect information thoroughly before traveling. Even after the Visa on Arrive is made free, the immigration inspection is the same as before.
Thereby, we sincerely hope that even more people will visit Indonesia. (November 20, 2014)

Mothproof measures

Since Indonesia weather is steaming and hot, it is a perfect weather for harmful insects like mosquitoes.

Especially in wet season, there are a lot of mosquitoes and there is a fear of getting bitten by the pests and being infected with diseases, so you are required to bring your personal pest spray with you. The way to prevent such diseases is to be careful of not getting bitten by mosquitoes.
Keep in mind to wear such clothes that do not expose your skin, and during the daytime be more alert and be careful of mosquitoes.Outdoor electronic pesticides will do as well.

Drinking water

The tap water is not fit for drinking water so purchase mineral water from the local stores. Also, at restaurants etc., beware of drinks with ice, as there is a possibility of using raw water.

Most of the hotels or restaurants tourists use frequently have western style toilets. Some others have Japanese style toilets. After using the toilet paper, instead of flushing the paper, throw it away in the trash can set aside. Some toilets are without toilet paper, so it is convenient to carry tissue paper.
